[As we move toward the launch of the Year of Faith, we asked our Young Fulltimers to share their faith journey. Read their stories in their own words]
For 22 years I worked in the stressful corporate world adding values to the networth of my employers. At times, my work led me to the pit of sinfulness as I bribed my way to negotiate transactions in favor of my employersu. One day, as I grumble in prayers to God about the sins of my workload , I heard a message from Him. He said,”Come work in my vineyard. Help enrich my kingdom rather than enriching other people’s wealth.”
Following God’s leading, I applied in our Trailblazer program. It took me 3 years of waiting before I was sent out to a long term mission work here in Malawi, Africa. I found joy and peace in the work I do right now which I hardly had in my former jobs. A sense of self fulfillment and actualizations run through me as I carry on my daily tasks knowing that I work for a very generous and faithful Boss that will never turn His back to me.
