(15) Towards the Year of Faith: Joanne Angon

[As we move toward the launch of the Year of Faith, we asked our Young Fulltimers to share their faith journey. Read their stories in their own words]

I’ll never forget that very moment when my household servant and I had a one to one session. She told me, “Joanne, the Lord is molding you to the woman He wants you to be”. That was years ago, I was still in college that time but I believe that was God’s message for me till up to this moment. I had a lot joys and victories, downfalls and shortcomings but everytime I reflect on how my life goes, I recognized this is how God is molding me the way He wants.

He blessed my life as well as my family. God showed me that peace will never be the absence of conflicts in my life but peace is admitting that God is in control and obeying His will is the way to go. My heart finds peace in Him. As I dedicate my life to the Lord, I believe that God wants me to know Him and love Him more and it doesn’t stop there. Through the love and care of the community, I found hope to live, I found hope in Christ.

I believe like me, there are alot of people, waiting to hear and feel the love of God. I am called to witness and share God’s greatness to others and I hope and pray that they too would find their hope in the Lord and live their life as a living witness of God’s love.
