(16) Towards the Year of Faith: Jerald Cruz

[As we move toward the launch of the Year of Faith, we asked our Young Fulltimers to share their faith journey. Read their stories in their own words]

There are a lot of reasons why I chose to be a missionary, but there is this one thing that keeps me in this work. I want to thank the Lord for introducing me in a great, loving and Christ centered community. Through this community, I learned a lot of things. I want to thank the Lord also for our family. With the kind of family that I have, I couldn’t ask for more. We may not be rich in money and in fame but we are rich in love. Having the best mom and dad and having the sweetest sister and a supportive brother, this is enough. Truly, I can see the goodness of the Lord in our family.

With the way my parents raised me up plus the learning in our community, there is this something that sticks in my mind and in my heart. And that is, “Our lives are only given by the Lord, which is why this life is only for Him alone…”

I will be forever serving God. The God who seriously serves me since I was born up until today and forever. Blessed be the name of the Lord!
