[As we move toward the launch of the Year of Faith, we asked our Young Fulltimers to share their faith journey. Read their stories in their own words]
My parents are God’s instruments of my conversion. When they experienced conversion through their Christian life program, they decided that their children should experience it too. So what they did was they forced (literally) me to join a youth camp. I was hesitant at first because I was too busy enjoying going out with my friends doing a lot of bad stuff. Thanks to my mom and her “motherly” force, I found myself sitting at the youth camp actually enjoying and being touched by what is happening at the camp. As what people say, the rest is history. From that great weekend in 94, I decided to give my life completely for the Lord. That decision changed my life forever. I turned my back on the bad things that I was doing and strived to live out a life according to God’s design.
Now that I am a father, I vow to bring my family to the Lord. I strive be a good example to my children so i can instill them God’s love and mercy and let them experience life in God the way I am experiencing it.
