(20) Towards the Year of Faith: Anna Arcaya

[As we move toward the launch of the Year of Faith, we asked our Young Fulltimers to share their faith journey. Read their stories in their own words]

Like the prodigal son, because of my sinfulness, I died and came back to life, I was lost and been found. Our God is a loving and forgiving. He gave me a chance to renew my life. He did not look at how many times I fell but He looked at how many times I picked myself up. God is gracious and merciful He even called me to be His co-worker.

Once in my prayer, reflecting on John 1: God asked me, “What am I looking for” and I answered, “ a life that is pleasing to You” and He replied “Come and see”. Following Him made me see how pleasing life is. Life has never been the same to me. I may not enjoy the financial comforts when I had a secular job. But despite that and other difficulties in mission life, nothing beats serving God.

God gave me the chance of a new life, others deserve that chance too. With God’s grace, may my life be spent for others to have the same opportunity.
