[As we move toward the launch of the Year of Faith, we asked our Young Fulltimers to share their faith journey. Read their stories in their own words]
My life verse is John 10:10, which states, “I have come to give you life, that you may have it to the full”. This is life to the fullest. I never imagined that this is the life that God has prepared for me. I will never be able to repay Him, but I have committed to do my best everyday, in my own little ways, to offer my life to God.
Life has been blessed for me. God has given me the best family I could ever have. I grew up having amazing experiences. But God has so much in store for me, and when He called me to be a missionary, life was never the same again. In a nutshell, God became very personal to me. And nothing else came as primary, but Him.
My missionary life blessed me with so many things, but to sum it up….
First, God became my best buddy in the whole world. Cliché, but to the real sense of the term. No one else understood me best but Him, and He was always there. He always met me, where I was, and He is still doing that everyday.
Second, I realized that “family” goes beyond my very own. He introduced me to many more families, when He brought me on mission to different places. These people are treasures that I will never forget for the rest of my life.
Third, He reminded me everyday, that the bottomline of all these, is that we are in the business of loving people. That is the question I always ask myself at the end of the day, that through it all, have I loved? And I will never love the way He does, but at least that is the model that I try to imitate.
Fourth, He tells me personally everyday, that He is in control, of my life, and everything. He knows everything and I just have to trust that with Him, everything is indeed beautiful.
His mission for me is to follow Him. His mission for me is to love Him. His mission for me, is to allow Him to keep molding my heart, so that I will always be reminded that nothing is more important that Him.
