(4) Towards the Year of Faith: Wally Magtibay

[As we move toward the launch of the Year of Faith, we asked our Young Fulltimers to share their faith journey. Read their stories in their own words]

I am a husband, a father and a missionary.

These are the three main roles that I cherish in my life today. It’s my heart’s desire to spend much time to care for, guide and protect my young family and also be at the forefront of our missionary work being mission ready all the time. I want to be the best that I can be in sharing the love of God to my young family as well as to single men & women in the corporate world.

Because of these two great desires in my heart, there are times that I find it hard to strike a balance. I find it difficult to balance my time, effort and attention between my family and the missions for I am but a limited and weak being. But I continue to hold on to His message that “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Cor 12:9)

I know deep in my heart that it is God who had put these desires of loving my family and the missions in me and it is through His grace that He will fulfill them.
