A SPLIT IN THE CHURCH?

December 10, 2014

If liberals and modernists in the Catholic Church have their way, and go the way of the Protestant Churches in the area of human sexuality, that is, accepting contraception, divorce, abortion and same-sex marriage (as well as ordination of women), God forbid, what will surely result will be a schism, a split in the Church.

There are already those forces within the Catholic Church, even up in the hierarchy. We have already seen what has happened to the mainline Protestant Churches, which have lost vitality as well as members. Such is the result of forcing liberalism and modernism on Christian Churches that should in fact fight such isms.

Archbishop of Canterbury admits Anglican communion could split

Catholic World News – December 09, 2014

The Archbishop of Canterbury has admitted the possibility that the worldwide Anglican communion could break apart because of disputes over the ordination of woman as bishops and the acceptances of homosexual unions.

“I think, realistically, we‘ve got to say that despite all efforts there is a possibility that we will not hold together, or not hold together for a while,” Dr. Justin Welby told the Times of London.

The Anglican leader made his candid assessment after concluding a tour of the province of the Anglican communion. The Church of England, the historical center of the Anglican world, recently voted to ordain women as bishops. But Anglican prelates in Africa, the fastest-growing province, adamantly reject both female bishops and the blessing of same-sex marriages.
