Autumn Assembly
Christ the King Church, Hillside, New Jersey
Despite of the falling trees and dangerous roads at the start of snowfall, kids and parents arrived at the CFCKFL NJ Autumn Assembly.  At least 60 kids attended the assembly.  They were asked to wear costumes of their favorite superheroes.  Parent coordinators from CFCKFL and CFCYFL came to serve the Autumn Assembly.
The Assembly started with the opening prayer that was led by Bro Melvin Mendoza, CFCFFL Chapter Servant of Jersey City.  This was followed by singing of “Deep, Deep.”  Then, the kids were divided into three age groups: 4 years and younger, 5-6 years old and 7 and above.  Games were provided in accordance to the age-group. The older age groups were asked to answer multiple choice questions based on the Bible and Church Heroes.  The highlight of the Assembly was the Living Holy Rosary led by CFCYFL members.  After the Recitation of the Living Holy Rosary, the kids were given treats.
The Assembly was so blessed that everything went well.  Bro Kenneth Fernandez, CFCKFL NJ Area Coordinator, was not present.  He is in the Philippines to be with his family, because his father passed away last Monday.  Sis Charry Fernandez coordinated everything and everybody stepped up to make this assembly a meaningful one.
Indeed, this assembly has proven that no matter how much the trials and difficulties are, we will overcome, because “God is our strength.”
