Church Joins Anti-RH Bill Mass
CFC-FFL joined the August 13 mass in St. Peter’s Church of Leaders in Quezon City. Archbishop Jose Palma, president of the CBCP officiated the mass.
The Catholic faithful once again gathered to make a stand against the Reproductive Health Bill. Donned in red, more than a hundred filled up the Church as the CBCP statement on the immediate change of the date on voting in Congress was read. Archbishop Palma, who came all the way from Cebu, reminded the faithful that the mass wasn’t a show of force, rather. “a show of faith.”
“I ask because I could not imagine a Filipino without his or her religiosity. Take away Santo Niño, take away Jesus Nazareno, take away Divine Mercy, take away Holy Rosary, take away Our Mother of Perpetual Help, take away Our Lady of Manaoag or Our Lady of Peñafrancia, and what’s left of us?” Palma said.
