It is with great joy and excitement that we announce our 15th CFC-FFL European Conference to be held in Milan, Italy on August 31-September 2, 2012. Our theme for this year is from Deuteronomy 30:19, “…Choose life then that you may live.”
This year promises to be one of the most exciting years in our community as we choose life. The city of Milan promises exciting architectural and cultural attractions as well. Its impressive structures belong to the most visited landmarks like the imposing Duomo Cathedral and the Santa Maria delle Grazie church where da Vinci painted his major masterpiece — ‘The Last Supper’. Another interesting building is the Castello Sforzesco — a castle built for the protection of the city in 1368. The museums are a must to visit.
Also known as the fashion capital of Europe, Milan’s Gallerie Vittorio Emanuele represents the most popular covered shopping center in the city. For the sisters who love to ‘window’ shop, the places are Via della Spiga, Via Sant Andrea and Via Montenapoleone where all the boutiques of Armani, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Versace, Valentino, Chanel, Moschino, Dior and Hermes can be found. Even if the price tags are larger than your budget, you can spend many a happy hour admiring the window displays.
If you come earlier or if you want to extend your stay after the conference, Venice, Verona (Romeo & Juliet), Turin (Shroud of Turin) are just between 1 to 2 1/2 hours away from Milan by train.
More details about the accommodations, conference fee, etc. will follow. Please book your flights as soon as possible to take advantage of the promo fares.
May God bless CFC-FFL and the conference!
