CFC FFL and UP Industrial Engineering students recently started a partnership under the CFC FFL Work with the Poor ministry. These past months has seen the students immerse in the areas, and also started finding ways of how we can help those who are in need: particularly the kids of our Restoration Village Brampton in Novaliches.
Yesterday, UP Industrial Engineering students sponsored a Christmas party for 100 kids of the BATA center, together with their parents. The group of UP students prepared the games and activities for the kids, and also sponsored a heavy snack for everyone. It was a wonderful moment where those who are very much blessed were able to be a blessing to those who are of need. The kids of RV Brampton enjoyed the food, games, and gifts that they received.
Christmas is just around the corner, and what a great way for us to share what we have by recognizing the many things the Lord has blessed us with. This season is a reminder for all of us about the Child who was born, so that all of us may experience the fullness of His grace. Jesus has showed us the kind of loving we all deserve, being born for us, and dying for us, so that we may experience life.
The whole afternoon Christmas party in RV Brampton was not just an opportunity to give gifts, play, and eat, but also an opportunity for all of us to realize that we all have something to give. That age and status in life is not a hindrance in making other people feel and experience Jesus in their lives. We ended the day very much fulfilled, and happy, knowing that students from UP, the kids, and their families, including myself have been blessed by God’s presence- experiencing Him through everybody, where the gift of giving and sharing is very much alive!
