The Fight Has Just Started III

There are disturbing reports that the CBCP pastoral letter, “Contraception is Corruption,” written by Abp Soc Villegas on behalf of Abp Jose Palma, intended to be read at the start of the Simbang Gabi, was not read in some parishes. Some say the letter did not reach them. If so, OK, just have it read right away. But if parish priests deliberately refused to read it, or if some bishops did not direct their clerics to read it, then we have a really big problem. We are under savage assault by the forces of darkness. Satan intends to destroy the family, the culture of life, and the Catholic Church. The tsunami of evil is upon us. If clerics do not see all that, with its attendant gravity and urgency, or in seeing it do not speak clearly against it, then YOU are part of the problem. No, let me rephrase that: YOU are a BIG part of the problem.

When the barbarian hordes are breaking down the gates, when the house is burning down, when children are being slaughtered before our eyes, shall we sit idly by? Shall we be silent? Shall we just say, well, can’t we all just get along and love one another? (Let us now all hold hands and sing Kumbaya). Shall we just be nice? Shall we be politically correct? Shall we just say, let us just pray for them? Shall we bury our heads in the sand like an ostrich? If Catholics see any of those, please give them a kick on their exposed butt! Hoy, gising na!

Here in the Philippines, Catholics still generally look up to priests. They still listen. But with dissidents as the enemy within, the time will come when more and more Catholics will take on a secular humanist mindset. Then it will be too late.

Dear beloved bishops and priests, please speak out now. Please instruct the flock. Know that the enemy is out to destroy faith, family and life. Know that Satan specifically targets the Roman Catholic Church. Please stop just being nice, to the detriment of the consciences of God’s people. In fact, rise up in righteous anger. Now that would be a sight to see.

God bless the Philippines.
