My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Peace to all. I trust that all is well with you. The Lord always treats us well, as His beloved children. It is just that we at times are not familiar with His ways, including when He allows suffering and pain in our lives.

The Live Christ, Share Christ (LCSC) movement, established in October 2011, continues to grow and reach many, especially nominal Catholics. Intended to help mainstream Catholic lay evangelization in the Philippines to better prepare our Church for the celebration of 500 years of Christianity in 2021, our brethren in other countries have picked up on this movement, and so today LCSC is established in 14 countries. This includes the latest, which is Sri Lanka, where there is even no CFC-FFL presence.

LCSC has been adopted as a program for the evangelization of non-practicing Catholics by the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP). You can check out the website the CBCP set up two years ago, in preparation for the Year of the Laity last year. Go to <>, click on “The 12 Sectors,” and then click on “Non-practicing Catholics.” There you will see the Life in Christ Seminar (LCS) and LCSC as a Legacy. Check out the other Sectors and you will see Live Pure, Liturgical Bible Study, No One in Need, and much more that we as a community have contributed to our Church.

Now LCSC is a movement and not a group, organization or community. It has no regular members as such. The follow-through after the LCS is a monthly prayer assembly (though people are not required to attend) and further LCSs. LCSC of course has more to offer to parishes, such as our 4 pillars and our Servant Leaders Formation (SeLF), if and when the parishes want further help from us. LCSC basically focuses on the kerygma, the initial proclamation of the gospel, which is what is sorely lacking in much of Church ministry.

To keep everyone in touch, to receive news about what is happening in LCSC, to receive an occasional pastoral input, we have set up the LCSC Googlegroup. This helps keep the fire of the Holy Spirit burning, and encourages the brethren who have met Christ not only to start to live Christ, but also very importantly to share Christ.

You are welcome to become part of the LCSC Googlegroup. Please click on this link and just send your email.

Onward to the New Evangelization! God bless you all.
