Why I want to go to the WYD 2013

The World Youth day experience in Madrid, Spain was a manifestation of God’s love for me. It was a great privilege and blessing from the Lord. From wishing to attend, waiting for the processing of documents and actually sitting with the other delegates from all over the world was overwhelming and a dream come true. What seems impossible becomes possible! I was in awe of God’s goodness and His amazing providence in my life. The World Youth Day 2011 in Madrid Spain has really inspired me. I have learned so much from the whole experience and it became an important part of my life. I couldn’t even express the joy that I felt during and after this event. It was God’s grace that brought me to Madrid and because of His limitless grace and a wonderful God experience that I had, I am certain that I was never the same again.

This year I wish and pray to the Lord to experience an unforgettable and life-changing encounter with Him again in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I would like to join this pilgrimage along side other youth from all over the world and just be a witness to the greatness of the Lord through the whole thing. This is a wonderful time to experience new discoveries in the lives and culture of other nations and to celebrate the Catholic faith with believers from all over the world. I believe that the theme this year “Go and make disciples of all nations” is perfect especially to us Fulltime Pastoral Worker. It will surely inspire us more in our work as God’s missionaries and will affirm us to continue in spreading God’s love to everyone.

If I will be blessed to go to Brazil, I look forward to just listen and meditate on the Pope’s message for the Youth and to really be sensitive to meet Him in every part of the World Youth Day. It will be a great privilege to be part of this year’s WYD. I know that the Lord will be personal to me and would really talk to me in a special way.

This year of Faith, the Lord asks us to “Believe,” and so I put my whole trust in Him.

For nothing is impossible with God.
